The Quiet Beauty of Early Mornings in the UAE

Early in the morning is when cities typically show their genuine selves.

Prior to the start of rush hour, before workplaces become busy, and before the din of the day fades into the background.

These early hours might feel nearly serene in the United Arab Emirates.

It’s colder outside. Streets that will subsequently see a lot of traffic stay quiet. A few early risers snuggle into quiet corners with laptops or newspapers as coffee shops start to open.

The picture gets even more dramatic along the coast.

As joggers stroll along seaside walks, the sun slowly rises over the Gulf, throwing gentle light across the water. Fishing boats stealthily move away from the coast. For a minute, the city seems more like a peaceful seaside village than a global center.

The rhythm then shifts.

Traffic increases. Offices are open. Against the backdrop of the skyline, construction cranes start their daily routine.

However, those early morning hours continue to serve as a reminder that even the busiest cities occasionally experience quiet.

All you need to do is get up early enough to see them.
